On the 22nd of November 2022, Empowa signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Municipal Council of Beira to start mobilizing funding for the construction of apartments in the Residential area of Maraza. The project will consist of building affordable apartments for low and medium-income families that are resilient to the climate changes that the city of Beira has been experiencing, following the model of the CMB master plan.
The Association of Commerce, Industry and Services (ACIS) organized on the 15th and 16th of June, in the city of Beira, Sofala province, the 2nd edition of the Mozambique Agribusiness, Industry And Logistic Forum, under the theme “Business Environment, Access to Finance and Business Opportunities”.
On March 4th, 2022, Beira Urban Development Society – SDUBeira and Beira Municipal Council – CMB officially received from the contractor the 3-hectare pilot area prepared with basic infrastructure for the construction of the first buildings of Maraza Residential and Commercial Park, SDUBeira took the opportunity to present the area to the local business community by holding a ceremony to present the area.
On the morning of the 28th of January, the President of the Municipal Council of Beira – CMB Albano Carige, proceeded with the consignment of the construction work of a 06 storey building, for the Transport, Industry, Commerce and Tourism councils to the contractor Grow Engenheiros LDA, being the Beira Urban Development Society – SDU the project implementing entity.
On November 5th, 2021, took place the BUSINESS AND INVESTMENT FORUM: MOZAMBIQUE AGRICULTURE, INDUSTRY AND LOGISTIC FORUM Forum for Business and Investment of the Centro Region , called Mozambique Agriculture, Industry and Logistics Forum.
On October 28, 2021, SDUBeira had the honor of taking RVO, represented by Mr. Jaap Kron, on a visit to the rehabilitated works within the scope of the intervention of the rehabilitation of infrastructures damaged by the idai cyclone.
Representatives of the Dutch mission, led by Maarten Gischler together with the team from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Netherlands Enterprise agency, Embassy of the Netherlands and representatives of the CMB including President Albano Carige visited the site of the works of Parque Residencial da Maraza to be updated on the Construction in progress.
With the aim of stimulating the development of the Agriculture, Industry and Logistics sectors, the Commerce, Industry and Services Association (ACIS) will hold a Business and Investment Forum for the Central Region, designated Mozambique Agriculture, Industry and Logistic Forum, on November 4, 2021, from 8am to 4pm, at the Golden Peacock Hotel, Beira City.
The event will focus on the themes of Business Environment, Access to Finance and Business Opportunities.
